The subjects of STEM classes – science, technology, engineering and math – are important because they pervade every part of our lives.
Science and technology are everywhere in the world around us, and they continue to expand into more and more aspects of our lives.
Engineering is obviously responsible for how we build roads, bridges, and buildings. But more and more in our lives engineering drives bigger challenges – from changing global weather patterns to how to make our homes and lifestyles more environmentally friendly.
STEM is EVERYWHERE!
We use math every day in our lives, in every activity! It’s not just something you do with pencils and paper – it’s when you put on your brake, how much something costs, the basis for computer programs, and the comfort of your clothing.
By exposing students to curriculum opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts we can instill in them a passion for creativity, innovation, and problem solving. Our STEM classes provide students with real-life situations projects. These projects benefit the students themselves and others. At the same time these projects increase their ability to CREATE, THINK, and LEARN.
Students benefit in the real world from hands-on and minds-on lessons through STEM activities. Making math and science both fun and interesting helps students improve their current life. Which will hopefully help them build a foundation to improve their futures as well.
