School’s out for summer…except at LEADPrep. We’re keeping learning going all summer long. Students have access to three Summer Learning Camps designed by our teachers, lead by our very own LEADPrep seniors, offered throughout the summer. Each class is scheduled Monday through Thursday, with a LEADPrep social on Thursday afternoons available to all students.
Math
Goals: Continue learning, avoid regressing, self-initiative, and independent working skills
Daily Format:

Quick energy/emotion check-in and share

Declare a goal for the day’s math

Work for 45 minutes

Can take a screenshot and be highlighted on Facebook, if they choose

Come back and share (pass the baton style)

English / Writing
Goals: Develop writing skills and fluency within chosen writing project
Daily Format:

Quick energy/emotion check-in and share

Daily challenge (highlight hooks, alliteration, sentence start variety, word choice, use of senses, show not tell upgrade) to note with post-it or margin comment

Declare a goal for the day’s writing

Write for 40 minutes

Social Communications
Goals: Social communication and relationship building while having fun, hanging out (playing), sharing, and engaging. These students will be leading LEADPrep in incorporating these skills school-wide in the fall
